The students of Regional Preparatory Department (RPD) based on OAO Varioganneft have become undergraduates of Faculty of Reservoir Engineering at prestigious Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
In 2010 at the initiative of RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev, RussNeft and Gubkin University jointly launched an educational project aimed at preparation of future highly qualified specialists in oil and gas industry.
The project covers territories of Volga Region and West Siberia - in Saratov City on the basis of OAO Saratovneftegas and in Raduzhny town on the basis of OAO Varioganneft, both companies being the subsidiaries of RussNeft.
RussNeft has assumed all expenses associated with pre-university preparatory and undergraduate education of the young regional residents at Gubkin University.
Throughout the duration of the project, 43 graduates of RPD, based on Varioganneft, became the students of Gubkin University, 37 of whom continue their education at the chosen majors.
Teaching of RPD students in such subjects as Physics and Math was being conducted by Gubkin University tutors. Specially designed syllabus included not only two off-site sessions during 2015 – 2016, but also intensive individual work of senior high school students under the remote control from the lecturers. It promotes efficient preparation for the Unified State Examination and further admission to the University of Oil and Gas.
