Moscow. The extra RUB 1 bln. will be given for the charitable purposes this year.
SAFMAR Charitable Foundation, belonging to prominent businessman and owner of several big companies Mikhail Gutseriev, has donated for charitable purpose more than 2 bln rubles since its establishment three years ago. TASS news agency was informed about it by Foundation`s press-service.
“In the three years of its functioning, the Foundation allocated for the implementation of philanthropic projects and social programmes over 2 billion rubles”, press-team reported. SAFMAR Charitable Foundation is one of the biggest non-profit organisations in Russia. Set up by Gutseriev`s RussNeft, the Foundation operates in Moscow and Moscow Region, in Udmurtia, Khakassia, Ingushetia, as well as in Saratov, Yaroslavl, Amur, Orenburg and other regions.
The foundation supports projects in culture, science, education and arts. Moreover, it significantly contributes to reconstruction of Russian Orthodox Church temples and construction of mosques, the latter in partnership with Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia. This year the Foundation financed two-year concert tour of Valaam Monastery Choir, which would cover more than 500 Russian cities and towns. The charitable institution also supported the exhibitions at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre in Moscow.
