In 2012 Varioganneft to produce 285 thousand tons of incremental oil due to well interventions

Khanty-Mansiysk. In 2012 ОАО Varioganneft (RTS: VARN) (a subsidiary enterprise of NK RussNeft (RTS: RUSN), Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District) plans to produce 285 thousand tons of incremental oil due to well interventions, as the press-service of the company said.

In the first half of the year the company has performed 140 well interventions to increase oil recovery in the fields of Variogan oil block that could result in production of 94.436 thousand tons of incremental oil.
Frac jobs showed the most significant results. Thus, due to frac jobs on the well N199р of Zapadno-Varioganskoye field the starting rate of yield made 72 tpd. From year to date, frac jobs were accomplished in 21 wells of Variogan oil block, as it’s said in a statement.
It has been formerly reported that in 2011 in the fields of Variogan oil block there was produced 2 872 000 tons of oil. This year the company plans to increase oil production by 3% as compared to 2011 – up to 2 959 000 tons.
NK RussNeft owns 51.06 % of Varioganneft shares.
