Special tactical oil spill response and containment training exercises were held in ОАО «NAK «AKI-OTYR»

Khanty-Mansiysk, KhMAO. In ОАО «NAK «AKI-OTYR», a subsidiary enterprise of NK «RussNeft», which is located in Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field, there were held special tactical oil spill response and containment training exercises. All incident response activities of the participants of the training have been directed by the emergency response team on prevention and relief to ES and ensuring the fire safety.

The exercise training plan was as follows: the emergency spill of 1.500 cubic meters of oil has occurred during the loss of containment of wells. The operational activities for the emergency response included: the erection of boom containment limit, oil pumping to the slop system, oil skimming, washout of ground contaminated with oil and sorbing of the territory, and also removal of waste to the utilization landfill.
The oil spill response training exercises were successfully held, all activities were carried out quickly and consistently – such conclusion was made by the Committee of Main branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in KhMAO-Yugra. It’s planned to make such training exercises annual.
