Orsk. "RussNeft" purchased for its subsidiary refinery "Orsknefyeorgsintez" a unit for determination of octane numbers of benzines and their components. The cost of the unit is 7 million rubles.

The unit УИТ-85 M is an upgraded analogue of the previous model which has been in use at the central laboratory  of the refinery. The new unit determines  quality of benzines with high precision. The most important value is antiknock rating ,  which determines the octane number of benzines and, correspondingly, the level of toxicity of exhaust gas.
Purchasing of the unit is one more step on the way to implementation of the requirements of technological rules  "Requirements to motor and aviation fuels, diesel and marine fuels, jet fuel and fuel oil" which, among other things, determines the terms and requirements to the quality of oil products: from January 1, 2011 - quality standards in conformity with Euro-3; from January 1, 2012 - quality standards in accordance with Euro-4.
Efficient laboratory evaluation in the process of production contributes to raising the quality of produced benzines and improves their ecological characteristics.
