Saratov. Two-level packer arrangement of the underground equipment was put into operation with purpose of water cut horizon at well #76 of “Pionerskiy” oilfield. Implementation of this unique equipment allowed to increase oil production more than 14 times.
The existence of two formations complicated well 376 operation - one of them is the water cut horizon with formation pressure at the depth 1980-1983 meters and the second is underlayind oil-bearing horison at the depth 2090-2096 meters.
Oil production was carried out by the rod deep-well pump with packer where the maximum oil debit amounted to 1.8 tons per day.
The water cut horizon lowered into the well with two-level packer arrangement was blocked on the upper and lower edges, 1965 meters and 2004 meters, respectively. It became possible with two-level packer produced by Neftekamskiy engineering plant.
At present oil production runs with electrical submersible pump placed higher than two-level packer arrangement.
Oil flow rate increased more than 14 times – from 1.8 up to 24.7 tons per day after the executed works. As for the final cost of this arrangement it is 3 times less than the potential costs of formation isolation with the usual methods such as repair-isolation works.
It is necessary to note that such type of equipment was used at Saratov region oilfield for the first time. “Saratovneftegaz” experts plan its future implementation.
