SPD, “RussNeft” and Monolit” are going to start associated gas processing at Salym in 2010.

MOSCOW, Juky 15. Interfax-AOI – OOO “Monolit” is planning in 2010 to put into operation a gas processing plant (GPP) at Zapadno-Salymskoye oilfield in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, according to the information supplied to Agency of Oil Information (AOI) by a representative of the company.

The interviewed representative specified that the capacity of the plant has not been determined yet.

As it was reported earlier, in March this year Salym Petroleum Development (SPD, JV Sibir Energy and Shell), OAO NK “RussNeft” and OOO “Monolit” signed a memorandum of cooperation in utilizing of associated petroleum gas (APG).

The memorandum contemplates construction of a GPP for processing FPG from Salym and Shapsha groups of oilfields, developed by SPD and “RussNeft” respectively.

It is planned that dry stripping gas will be used for generating electric power for the needs of productive activity of the companies and the excess of it will be transferred to gas transmission  network.

GPP is 100% owned by OOO “Monolit”, which has undertaken construction of the GPP and corresponding infrastructure and their further exploitation.

In April this year SPD put into operation  at Zapadno-Salymskoye oil-field a gas-turbine power station 45MWt, running on APG. Taking into consideration capacities of the GPP the company plans to have 95% of associated gas utilized by 2010.

OOO “Monolit” is included in the group of companies “Rosa Mira” engaged in oil and AOG production in Tyumen region.
