In 2013 OAO Varioganneft will continue oil sludge treatment and remediation of oil-contaminated soils.

Raduzhny, KhMAO. In 2013 OAO Varioganneft, a subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft will continue treatment of sludge treatment, remediation of sludge pits and oil-contaminated soils at the oilfields of Variogan block. The joints stock company is going to assign RUB 114.54 million for this purpose.

In II-III quarters of the current year the company is planning to liquidate two drilling sludge pits at Tagrinskoye oilfield and one pit at Varioganskoye oilfield. Drilling sludge treatment will be also performed at Valiuninskoye and Novo-Aganskoye oilfields. The total volume of treated drilling sludge will amount to 6061 cbm.
In 2013 the Company will continue remediation of oil-contaminated soils at Varioganskoye and Tagrinskoye oilfields. The total area of remediated oil-contaminated soils will amount to 12.5 hectares.
In total in 2013 the Company is planning to assign for financing of operations within the frames of improving the environment at Variogan oil block over 128 million rubles.
IN 2013 the Company will further provide compliance to the established norms of admissible impact over the environment. Accomplishment of the tasks of environmental management in compliance with the requirements of international standards ISO 14001:2004, as well as the implementation of the environmental situation improvement program at the oilfields of Variogan oil block remain priorities of environmental activities  of "Varioganneft."
