RussNeft will set up a new oil production center in Tomsk region

Moscow. Financial statement of RussNeft for 2012 sais that the Company increased its oil production in Tomsk region by 54% up to 1.04 million tons due to the oil fields engineering infrastructure development and the drilling program implementation. The new production hub will significantly add to the traditional production regions of the holding in the West Siberia.

Development of Shapshinskaya group of fields is a strategic operation project of the holding. According to the last year results, the oil production at the group’s license areas was 1.4 million tons. This year, RussNeft intends to increase the crude production at Shapshinskaya group by 7% up to 1.5 million tons.

One of the significant factors of the positive dynamics of the holding’s operational indicators was the start-up of 138 new producing wells rendering cumulative production growth of 1172 thousand tons. This included the start of commercial operation at Novo-Aganskoye field and Poselkovoye field. 7 producing wells were drilled at Novo-Aganskoe field, and 3 wells were drilled at Poselkovoye field, according to communication of Business-TASS.

In 2012, RussNeft carried on the projects for more efficient utilization of the associated gas as well as natural gas production, gas processing and gas power generation. The Company developed the design and estimate documentation for 117 facilities, installed 59 gas metering units, revamped 15 flare systems.
