Orsk refinery is going to assign 6 million rubles for insurance for the factory rescuers

Orsk. OAO “Orsknefteorgsintez” is going in 2011 to assign 6 million rubles for life and heath insurance for the factory rescuers. The sum of industrial accident insurance for each of the members of non-professional emergency rescue teams (NERT) will amount to 300 thousand rubles.

These measures are being carried on within the frames of industrial safety program of Orsk refinery. On the total the members of NERT at ONOS  number to 212. They control all potentially dangerous objects at the plant. Their tasks in case of emergency include  first-stage localization and liquidation of the emergency situation, providing first aid to the injured people, assistance to gas rescuers and firemen. 
The company periodically arranges drills to give the rescuers the possibility to master in actual practice the skills of liquidation of emergency situations, competitions of NER teams which is an indispensable condition of industrial safety assurance.
The specialists from Novomoskovsk Institute for Chemical Industry Managers and Specialists, who training and do performance reviews of the rescuers from ONOS note that the NERTs of the company are the best in the region.
