Sochi. One of the largest Russian oil companies OJSC ”RussNeft” plans to buy new assets in Russia and abroad, CEO Mikhail Gutseriev has told to reporters on Friday.
Answering a question, whether the company is planning further acquisitions, he said: "Definitely."
Gutseriev has said that there are possible acquisitions as in Russia so abroad.
"Everything depends on profitability, the number of stocks. It does not matter where, it is important - how much and for how much," - he said.
Gutseriev has noted that ”it is difficult to buy” at 6.5 billion debt load, but, nevertheless, the company has recently acquired a small producing asset – “Ryabovskoe” with production of 120 thousand tons per year in Udmurtiya.
According to his words “Russneft” plans to increase capitalization through capital investments and purchases of assets that will enable it to increase production.
"We expect an increase from 800 thousand to 1 million tons (oil production per year)," - he said.
According to Gutseriev’ words, these plans are provided by the model of the company development, introduced to the biggest lenders - Sberbank and Glencore trader.
Answering the question in which countries it would be interesting for “RussNeft” to buy assets, CEO said: "Wherever there is oil." According to him, that are Turkmeniya, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Mauritania, Iraq, Iran, Africa and the Arab world, and also Canada is possible. Gutseriev remembered that he had already engaged in extraction in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Mauritania.
