Ulyanovsk oilmen are preparing for a spring seasonal flood.

Ulyanovsk. OAO “Ulyanovskneft”, a subsidiary of OAO NK “Russneft”, is preparing for the spring flood. A number of measures are being taken to prevent all possible negative effects of the flood.

The primary task is to ensure trouble-free service at all objects of the enterprises of Ulyanovsk group in the period of intensive melt water move. Special attention is paid to motor roads, the state of section isolated valves and air-tightness of infield pipelines. Off-road equipment is prepared, water outlet drain tubes at the oilfields are cleared, repair and strengthening of banking are done.
Power engineering specialists are checking  the state of transmission lines, prevent the possibility of the fall of support items and complete transformer substations, the break of electric power lines and ingress of melt waters into high-voltage and low-voltage equipment.
Unplanned safety trainings concerning works during flood season are being conducted in all brigades. Civil Defense and Emergency Command Staff are checking  the readiness of freelance emergency rescue units.
