Moscow. OAO NK “RussNeft” was awarded with Patriarchal Certificate of Merit of the Russian Orthodox Church for its active participation in revivification of spiritual life. The Certificate was handed to the company under blessing of The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Cyril. This award accentuates the high assessment of the Company’s activity in the field of implementation of charity projects
According to the report of the press-service of "RussNeft", reconstruction and erection of temples is an integral part of social policy of OAO NK “RussNeft”. This year OAO NK “RussNeft” has assigned 60 million rubles for financing of Moscow Ecclesiastical Academy and a boarding school for orphaned children in the village of Toporkovo. It is planned to assign similar sums in 2010 as well.
The Company is ready and willing to help reconstruct and erect Russian Orthodox temples in all the regions of its business activity. OAO NK “RussNeft” sponsored opening of the Saint Royal Martyrs Church in Izhevsk; erected the Holy Mother of Kazan Church in the village of Balezino and Malo-Diveyesky Monastery in the village of Noria, charity help is being rendered to the Peter and Paul Church and Saint Martyr and Healer Panteleimon Church in the village of Karakulino.
In Saratov Region OAO NK “RussNeft” assigned in 2009 450 thousand rubles to Vladimir-Veniamin parish for construction of a new Orthodox church.
In Western Siberia the holding sponsors purchasing of Orthodox literature for the students of Orthodox secondary schools at the Nativity Church in Nizhnevartovsk and organizes summer camps for children’s Ortodox school at St. Hermogen Church in the village of Novoagansk in Nizhnevartovsky District. The Company also renders charity help to construction of John the Forerunner Church in Nizhnevartovsk and assigns finance for arranging Orthodox festivals at children’s Sunday schools at Saint Alexis of Moscow Church in the city of Niagan
