Nowadays the cost of any tubing, including oilwell tubing used in oil and gas industry, is very high. For this reasons many plants prefer to repair existing tubing rather than to buy new one.
In 2006 ZAO “Service-Center NP & BO” (a subsidiary of OAO “Saratovneftegas”) reconstructed and put into operation a tubing repair site. But until recently there was no possibility to perform all the operations of the technological process at the site.
In May – June the tubing repair site was reconstructed and it permitted tp create a single technological line, excluding long hold-ups for relocation of a tube in order to perform certain operations. The company purchased and installed equipment for cleaning the tubes of petrochemical and bituminous deposits, a pumping station for hydraulic testing of the tubes. In near future it is planned to purchase a set of instruments for complete ultrasonic control over the tubing.
