Orsknefteorgsintez, a subsidiary of Oil Company RussNeft OAO, has received the Maecenas Golden Award. The Guardian Council of the International Charity Fund “Maecenases of the Century” has made the decision to present the award to Orsknefteorgsintez for “the outstanding contribution to the revival of high cultural ideals and charity”.
As it is pointed out in the covering letter Orsknefteorgsintez OAO is an active party to economic, environmental and social programmes of the city of Orsk and the Orenburg region.
The management and employees of the Orsk Refinery have joined in the implementation of the Regional Charity and Sponsorship Programme run by Oil Company RussNeft in the Orenburg region. Their priority is to support municipal children’s programmes, social sports and health-improving activities including participation in the community activities in the context of the Project “Family, Love, Support and Care” and so on.
As for environmental safety of the city population Orsknefteorgsintez is presently considering what specific measures to be taken to the amount of 56 million roubles in the context of the federal and regional programme aimed at improving local environmental situation.
