Lukashenko Meets Gutseriev

President of Belarus welcomed in his residence the head of Russia’s Oil Company RussNeft OAO. BELTA reports in the course of the meeting Alexander Lukashenko said that in Belarus they were of high opinion of the business qualities of Mikhail Gutseriev.

“We have made approach to particular projects,” said Alexander Lukashenko. He was specifically talking about participation of RussNeft in the construction of a loading rack capable of transshipping nearly three million tons of crude oil a year. President of Belarus also discussed other joint projects with the head of RussNeft including the set up of oil refining and petrochemical facilities on the basis of Polimir.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, the cooperation with RussNeft is important for Belarus today because the Russian company is a first-rate oil holding actively buying out new hydrocarbon fields and refining capacities.
Two week ago Alexander Lukashenko met another Russian oil company, Lukoil. In the course of the meeting Byelorussian President said that the state was ready to support Lukoil projects related to reconstruction and upgrading of Byelorussian enterprises. Alexander Lukashenko then added: “My business is to set time limits if you make an offer, and check that all is done honestly and well.”
