In the medium-term future RussNeft is going to boost its oil output to 100 million tons against 16.5 million tons in 2005. This intention was voiced at a press-conference by President of the company Mikhail Gutseriev.

According to him, RussNeft anticipates 25 million tons of oil in 2006 against 16.5 million tons in 2005. “The production volumes can be increased through improving field facilities at old oilfields and purchasing new ones,” M.Gutseriev said.
At this he mentioned the possibility of expanding the activities of the company to other countries. Specifically, the President of the company spoke of the intention to participate in tenders in Libya, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other countries.
RussNeft also looks to increase its transshipments via Bryansk oil loading rack from 2 million tons in 2005 to 3 million tons in 2006. It could by done owing to the assets bought from TNK-BP.
M.Gutseriev also said in 2006 RussNeft would do the restructuring. Specifically, small affiliates are to be joined into three centralized territorial divisions of RussNeft – RussNeft-Povolzhie, RussNeft-KhMAO and RussNeft-Tomsk.
