Raduzhny. KhMAO-Yugra. OAO Varioganneft, AO NK Russneft subsidiary, implements side- tracking as one of the well intervention methods at the fields of Variogan oil block.
Side-tracking facilitates oil production growth, including remaining reserves allowing a greater hydrocarbons recovery factor, recommission of the wells which could not be brought back with the other methods.
This year 24 wells have been side-tracked at Variogan oil block. The wells added up 30 tons on average. Based on these indicators the cumulative discounted income from side-tracking will make up 1.257 bn rubles in the reporting period (5 years).
The scope of side-tracking operations at the fields of Variogan oil block for the short-term and long-term perspectives will depend on the economic efficiency dynamics as well as on the macroeconomic conditions and market situation.
OAO Varioganneft will continue implementing economically efficient side-tracking technology at the licenses of OAO Varioganneft. 14 wells will be recommissioned at Variogan oil block in 2016, adding around 90.5 thousand tons, OAO Varioganneft press-office reports.
