Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Varioganneft, RussNeft subsidiary, implements the energy-saving program and improves power efficiency in Variogansky oil block.
Reducing fuel and energy consumption as well as raising power efficiency of oil production and auxiliary production facilities are the primary targets of the company’s activities.
As a result, a set of activities was performed at the fields of Variogansky oil block in course of 4 months in 2016. These activities included unprofitable well stock suspension, selection of equipment with efficient performance and operating parameters as well as technology of power cycling for operating low oil-flow wells.
The preliminary estimates of experts show that implementing energy-saving and energy efficient activities brought down electricity consumption by 3 mln kWh over the past period of the current year. Due to these arrangements the company saved about 10.7 mln RUB. The program is focused on decrease/stabilization of specific consumption of energy resources in production. In order to fulfill the plan the company intends to use approved energy-saving technologies and equipment further. In addition, apart from being economically beneficial, the programs of the company are also environmentally friendly.
