Khanty-Mansiysk. RussNeft subsidiary OAO NAK AKI-OTYR intends to put into operation five wells using the multistage hydraulic fracturing technology at Verkhne-Shapshinskoye field in 2016.

The second MHF Well 5004 was drilled and put into operation in late June 2016. It was fractured under normal conditions similar to the pilot Well 5011 - 808 tons of proppant were injected, the initial oil production rate was 100 tons per day. The current oil production is about 80 tons per day. The horizontal section of Well 5004 was cleaned with coiled tubing which will stabilize the oil production rate.
The third horizontal Well 5005 is under development at Well pad 9 targeting АС12/3-5 formation where multistage hydraulic fracturing technology will also be applied. Its start-up is scheduled for August.
This year, drilling of a horizontal well will be completed at another well pad of Verkhne-Shapshinskoye field - Well pad 12. The total length of the horizontal sections of all the wells scheduled for MHF will be 1000 m.
Totally, 30 wells will be put into operation after drilling at that field by the end of 2016 (7 wells above the business plan). The new wells are expected to add 234.8 thousand tons of oil production which is 73.2 thousand tons above the business plan.
