SPONSORED BY PJSC RUSSNEFT FC NEFTYANIK GETS SILVER AT THE KOZHANY MYACH ALL-RUSSIA TOURNAMENT
The girls’ team of RussNeft-sponsored FC Neftyanik, located in worker`s settlement Novospasskoye (Ulyanovsk Region), took silver medal at All-Russia children football competition Kozhany Myach.
Neftyanik’s team represented Ylyanovsk Region in the final match of the All-Russia competition in Smolensk, attended by 16 of the best children's teams in Russia.
In its age group Neftyanik’s team confidently defeated their peers from the Volgograd Region with the score 2:1, the Moscow Region with the score 5:0,
the city of Makhachkala with the score 26:0 and reached the semi-final, where it met with the team from the city of Yekaterinburg, which was defeated with the score 1:0.
In the final of the tournament, Neftyanik lost first place in penalties to Slavator team from the Leningrad Region.
FC Neftyanik trainees became the silver medalists of the tournament. No team from the Ulyanovsk Region has ever achieved such high results. Jana Helvius was recognized as the best player of the tournament, while Victoria Kalmykova as the top scorer.
FC Neftyanik was founded in 2003 in worker`s settlement Novospasskoye with support of PJSC RussNeft`s founder and owner Mikhail Gutseriev.
