Neftyanik football club, founded under the leadership of PJSC “RussNeft”, performed well the Summer Finist Cup 2024 All-Russian children's and youth football tournament in Tuapse.
The audience especially enjoyed the performance of the team of the boys born in 2010-2011. They won more than one brilliant victory in a fair fight with football players from other regions and took first place in the tournament.
Also a serious achievement for the club’s trainees was participation in the Open Championship of the School Sports League in mini-football among boys born in 2012 and 2014 in Syzran. They competed with teams from Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions. It is reported that the 2012 team took first place in the championship, and the boys born in 2014 became silver medalists.
Neftyanik football club was created in 2003 in Novospasskoye industrial community of Novospassky district, Ulyanovsk region, with the active support of RussNeft.
The company continues to provide patronage to the club today. In 2023, the football team received a special tourist bus from sponsors. Today, transport helps athletes perform successfully at numerous regional and federal competitions.
According to the club’s management, the club has more than 200 children of different ages from 7 to 17 years old. Today it is the only club in the Ulyanovsk region where training, equipment and participation in competitions are free for club players.
Young football players regularly become winners and prize-takers of numerous tournaments of various levels. The oil company stressed that the Ulyanovsk branch helps young football players as part of the charitable and sponsorship programs in the regions of its operation.
