Varioganneft will allocate over 91 million rubles to environmental programs at the fields of Variogan oil block

Raduzhny, KhMAO. In 2014, OAO Varioganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, will allocate over 91 million rubles to implement environmental programs for oil production safety, environmental impact mitigation and ecological control at the facilities of Variogan oil block, as reported by the company’s press service.

The environmental activities include recycling of oil sludge, remediation of mud pits and reinstatement of contaminated land.

As per the approved ecological control schedule, monitoring of the atmospheric air, soil, surface and subsurface water reservoirs at all license areas of the company will continue this year.

Besides, repair of 21.3 km of pipelines is scheduled for 2014 to amount to 82 million rubles.

In 2014, Varioganneft will allocate 32.4 million rubles for industrial safety audits in order to extend the pipelines’ service life. In addition, the company plans to spend 29 million rubles on inhibition protection of the oilfield transport facilities.

Environment is a priority of OAO NK RussNeft HSE corporate management system. In 2014, the Company intends to ensure compliance with adopted standards of environmental impacts. Fulfillment of the environmental management objectives in accordance with ISO 14001:2004 as well as implementation of environmental activities at the fields of Variogan oil block will remain a priority of OAO Varioganneft ecological agenda for 2014.
