Today, on March 14, 2008 the Governor of Yugra Aleksandr Filipenko, CEO of Salym Petroleum Development N.V. Harry Brekelmans, First Vice President of OAO NK RussNeft Oleg Shchegolev and General Director of OOO Monolit Andrey Nepomniashchiy signed a Memorandum of Understanding on setting up a complex for associated petroleum gas utilization and generating capacities. Khanty-Mansiysk. On March 14, 2008 Salym Petroleum Development N.V. (SPD), OAO NK RussNeft and OOO Monolit signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Khanty-Mansiysk. The Parties agreed upon the main principles of interaction on the utilisation of the associated petroleum gas from the Salym and Shapshinskoe fields in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. According to the Memorandum the associated petroleum gas from these fields will be processed at the Gas Processing Plant (GPP), which be built within the territory of the West Salym field. The dry gas will be used to generate power required for RussNeft and SPD operations in the above fields. The surplus gas will be delivered to the gas transportation network.
